The Power of Feeling Awesome
“Feel Awesome!” QiGong for Executives, Athletes, and Other Leaders
This program is for executives and other leaders who understand the importance of clarity of mind, vital presence, and strength and flexibility in successfully managing their teams, their work/life balance, and their career goals.
At the end of this program, you will have developed an easily accessible practice for remedying discomfort and stress, and readily enhancing your physical, mental, and emotional vitality. You will have learned how to “feel awesome” on demand, and you’ll be able to bring that capacity to advantage in your work and life.
This program is particularly accessible for executives who have, at one time or another (including the present), known what it feels like to be an athlete. The power and confidence, clarity and efficiency that comes with that state of athletic vitality is what we cultivate through this program – efficiently, with no physical risk, and no overhead. Building power through conscious breath-work and awareness requires only your attention and desire. The rest flows naturally and pleasurably from the work.
[Note: Even if you haven’t ever considered yourself to be an athlete, this program will work for you. The body has a natural desire to feel strong and vital. The pathways to that state are embedded in you, and we will activate them through this program.]
The program is structured in three modules, each lasting a month:
Month 1: The Power of Feeling Awesome
We begin our journey with 4 sessions devoted to awakening your sensate awareness and developing breathing techniques that literally help you “feel awesome”; these fundamental techniques are deployable at any time, even in times of stress. Moreover, the work itself delivers a kind of vital pleasure, so you get a tangible return on your time right in the moment, within the practice itself.
1 Private and 3 Semi-private sessions
Month 2: Encounters with Resistance
The second module explores the nature of resistance – including pain. We investigate the ways to approach resistance and pain constructively, recognizing layers and contours. With sufficient inner sensate awareness, pain and resistance become highly articulated sources of information, not unlike an inner topography. Mapping and responding to that topography, we learn how to adjust the body to have a higher-resolution understanding of resistance, and how to use the breath to clear it.

Month 3: Building Strength
The third module explores limitations in strength. We use our developing sensate awareness and experiences from Module 2 to recognize weakness within the body. Unnerving as it can be, diving into our weak spots is extraordinarily illuminating, and in fact is an essential step if we are to heal, overcome limitations, and grow stronger. In this module, we become comfortable exploring weakness – doing so safely, from a position of strength. We learn to apply awareness and breath as fuel, food, and medicine.

E1: Recorded Practice Session. A video recording of a custom session of your choice, so you can have a guided routine to work the areas and techniques of greatest utility to you.
E2: FA!QiGong + Ecstatic Dance. An introduction to free, vitalizing movement powered by music, in a safe, nonjudgmental venue. One hour of guided work, and one hour of free-form exploration. FA!QiGong combined with ecstatic dance can be extraordinarily deep work.
E3: Mastering Gravity – A Steep Hike On Scree. Efficiently hiking steep terrain requires a shift in mindset and attention to inner structures, and centers of impulsion and momentum. Loose footing requires attentiveness to and intimacy with the present moment. Your guide will direct your attention, throughout the hike, to subtle body positioning and specific sensate experiences that will reinforce the lessons of the three modules. This hike will be both less and more challenging than you think.
E4: Attendance at weekly Feel Awesome! QiGong practice (highly recommended). We meet three times each week to develop our sensate awareness and explore the power of the breath.
E5: Private Session. We spend an hour doing work dedicated to your specific interests. Private sessions can deliver powerful healing and growth, expanding awareness of both physical and emotional limitations and how to transcend them.
E6: Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle Consultation. The more you attend to how your body feels on the inside, the more you will want to make changes in how you feed it and care for it. We tap the ancient science of Ayurveda to create a custom self-enhancement program that will further your progress towards “feeling awesome”.
